Vision Luncheon 2025
On Sunday, January 26, over 80 church family members & friends attended a Vision Luncheon in fellowship hall. Through presentations, table talk conversations, and a tour of the space in our lower level, we heard about God’s vision being embraced at FaithWestwood.
You are invited to read the Vision Brochure for more information about the celebrations of new ministries and revitalized ministries for 2024 and 2025 as well as information from the Strategic Planning Team’s work on future goals.
Introducing...The Micah Center
In the beginning of this process, we referred to the spaces on our first floor as the “lower level” or the “16,000 square foot” space. Claiming this space as the Micah Center allows us to designate that space for expanding mission and ministry for both the church and the community.
The name Micah Center was inspired by Micah 6:8 NIV:
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Exciting New Partnership in Mission & Ministry
On Pentecost Sunday, June 8, Reverend Cindi announced in worship a new ministry partnership for the use of some of the spaces in our Micah Center on our lower level.
Beginning July 1, FaithWestwood is excited and honored to welcome new partners in faith and community -- Mosaic.
Mosaic is a faith-based organization serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other diverse needs.
Their purpose statement reads: We are called to love and serve.
FaithWestwood embraces opportunities to love and serve others, such as through our FaithWorks Pantry, our pantry garden and other outreach ministries. Through a three-year lease agreement with Mosaic, FaithWestwood will provide space for Mosaic's Omaha-area offices and for a “hub,” which is a meeting space for people supported to begin their day of activities in the community.
FaithWestwood is excited to embrace where the Spirit has led us as individuals and as a church.
FaithWorks Pantry Expansion
In January 2025, the Board of Trustees approved the expansion of our FaithWorks Pantry. Since 2021, this amazing ministry has more than doubled the average number of families it serves!
The expansion plus the added storage room will triple the space available to better serve our patrons, allow for future growth, and continue our investment in the community we serve.
The cost of materials is supportedy by your generous donations to our Greater Love offerings. And our 5Ms FaithGroup was able to provide 100% of the labor to complete this project!
Progress Continues
Work continues in the Micah Center through 2025 -- skillfully executed by our 5Ms faithgroup and many other volunteers.
