Noodles & Doodles - a Student Mission Trip Fundraiser
Lunch and Silent Auction
Sunday, March 3, 12:00 noon, fellowship hall
Noodles & Doodles is a silent auction featuring artwork handcrafted by our talented students! On March 3, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch and take a piece of that creativity home with you!
Proceeds from the silent auction support this year's student mission trips.
Mission trips provide our students the opportunity to grow in their faith while they see and learn practical ways to apply that faith in their communities.
Your support helps defray the cost of the trip and provides scholarships to ensure that every student who wants to go has that opportunity.
Everyone is invited and we hope to see you all there!
FaithWestwood’s Health & Wellness Ministry is pleased to offer free monthly blood pressure screenings in partnership with the Papillion La Vista Health Systems Academy.
The screenings are performed by high school students enrolled in the academy. Through this process these students, who have already completed their Certified Nursing Assistant training and are fully licensed, gain valuable experience taking manual blood pressure readings.
Students are supervised by Geri Dowse, RN. Geri is a faculty member and instructor with the academy. She and her family are also members of FaithWestwood. Screenings are conducted in individual screened cubicles in the back of fellowship hall, and complete confidentiality and safe record keeping is ensured.
Questions? Please contact Director of Caring Ministries Vikki O’Hara at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Then, join The Petes at their Easter Egg Fill-off on Sunday, March 24, at 12:00 p.m. to have lunch and see which Pete's team can fill the most eggs for the big Easter Eggstravaganza!
The next Hope & Healing staff prayer is Tuesday, March 5.

- Text or call Vikki at 402-650-9489 (be sure to include your name in text or voicemail messages. Also indicate whether you would like your prayer held in confidence with the staff and prayer team and not shared with the congregation.)

United Women in Faith March Meeting
Wednesday, March 6, 9:00 a.m., fellowship hall
Everyone's invited to come enjoy a light breakfast and fellowship with the United Women in Faith at their March meeting! We'll also hear a presentation from the Omaha chapter of Free Bikes for Kids, an organization that repairs and distributes bicycles to kids who don't have one.
Sunday, March 10, we spring forward and lose an hour of sleep, but that's ok. Come to straight to church in your PJ's and enjoy breakfast in Sunday School! (Adults, you're welcome to participate too!)
Through this season of Lent, we are collecting for a new mission offering called Greater Love.
This offering will be taken up during special seasons in the church like Lent, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and gifts collected will be utilized by the missions committee for “greatest needs” of existing mission partnerships or for additional projects or needs that emerge!
=> Be sure to pick up a box in worship or at the FW office to collect coins and/or dollars for Greater Love through the season of Lent.
=> Or, you can give to this offering online and by text -- find directions at faithwestwood.com/about-us/give. The giving code for online/text giving is LOVE.
And to find fun ideas to help fill your Greater Love box with coins through Lent, check out this calendar from Family Ministry.

Introducing Four (or More!) for FaithWorks Pantry!
How it Works
- Keep This List: The pantry has put together a list of the 48 items they use the most throughout the year.
- Shop: When you shop for your groceries each month, add an item or two from this list -- with the goal of a minimum of four items per month.
- Donate: Bring your donation to the canvas collection bin in the church foyer on Sunday mornings or drop them off by the FW offices during the week.
If everyone at FaithWestwood participates in Four (or More!), we can significantly reduce our pantry's expenses and continue our commitment to serve the patrons twice a month.
Thank you for your continued support of FaithWorks Pantry.
FaithGroups: Creating Small Caring Communities That Love and Serve Jesus Together
Becoming a deep, daring, and daily disciple is a life-long journey. If you are looking for people to share your faith and life with, a FaithGroup is the place for you.
Most groups meet weekly for a time of fellowship, study, and prayer. Some groups meet year-round, some are just starting up again after summer, and some are short-term groups based on a particular topic.
There are many FaithGroups looking for new participants. If you're interested in connecting with a FaithGroup, reach out to Pastor Cindi by email to email@example.com.
Did you know you can sign your child into Sunday School each week before you get to church?
Just follow this link https://dashboard.kidminapp.com/church/faithwestwood-umc/register-guardian or scan the QR code to the left.
If this is your first time using the KidMin app, you'll need to download the Kidmin app and create an account -- after that, it's 10-second check-ins every Sunday.
This is a great serving opportunity for small groups or individuals!
No experience necessary -- just a warm heart for serving others. Different jobs available for all ages and abilities.
Sign up for as many or as few days as you'd like at tinyurl.com/FWPantry

How Can I Help? The Never-Ending Yarn Drive
- As you can imagine, Blanketed with Prayer uses a LOT of yarn, and the need never ends.
- Check your closets, ask a friend, keep an eye out at thrift stores and garage sales.
- New yarn is NOT necessary! Any color, any amount -- as long as it's yarn, it will be put to good use by Blanketed with Prayer.
- You can drop off scrap and leftover yarn any time of day in the labeled bin located inside the west entrance of FaithWestwood.
For more information about Blanketed with Prayer and how you can participate in this ministry, contact Vikki O’Hara, Director of Caring Ministries, at email@example.com or at 402-650-9489.
Looking for quiet place to read, study, or just unwind? FaithWestwood has a library located on the second floor, across from the office.
Our library is open on Sunday mornings and throughout the week -- as long as there isn't a group having a meeting there. We have books on many subjects including devotionals, prayer, Christian life, heaven, parenting, and Christian fiction for adults, teens, and kids.
To borrow books, please fill out the white card in the back of the book and drop it in the small box on the check-out cabinet. Children’s books do not need return cards. We ask that all books be returned within two to three weeks.
Come relax in our library and enjoy reading!
