  • A Fond Farewell - to the murals on the lower level

A Fond Farewell to the Murals

    Sunday, February 23

Before, between, and after both 9 & 10:45 am worship services

Work continues by our 5Ms faithgroup to renovate the 16,000 square foot space on our lower level – now named The Micah Center at FaithWestwood – in order to complete the expansion of FaithWorks Pantry and prepare additional rooms to grow FaithWestwood’s mission and ministry.

Part of this preparation process is saying goodbye to the murals that have blessed those halls for over 25 years. While we are sad to see the hallway murals go, this is the next necessary step to prepare the space for a potential community partnership and new spaces for the missions and ministries of FaithWestwood.

So, on Sunday, February 23, before and after worship services, you are invited to a special event as we bid a fond farewell to the murals. Everyone is invited to come, to take photos, and to sign your name and leave messages on the hallway walls.

We will also create a commemorative book that will include photos of both the upper and lower level murals. You will have the opportunity to preorder your copy at this event.

  • Pop-up classes for lent

The season of Lent is the period between Ash Wednesday and Holy Saturday when Christians observe a period of self–examination, repentance, and reflection which, among other practices, includes reading and meditating on God's Word.

In observance of Lent, FaithWestwood is offering two pop-up classes to consider during this important season:

Word of the Lord: Prophet Micah

    Mondays, March 10 - April 14, 4 - 5:30 pm

    FaithWestwood, room TBD

    Led by Reverend Cindi Stewart

While many people are familiar with Micah 6:8 NIV (...To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.), there is so much more that the Lord God speaks through the prophet Micah. Hear the ancient language and seek to understand the context in which the prophet is speaking and then consider how the Word of the Lord can speak to us in our day.

***Please RSVP to Rev. Cindi Stewart at cindi.stewart@faithwestwood.com

    Led by Reverend Alan Hanson

After a quick survey of reformation theology, learn about the theology and social ethic of John Wesley, founder of the Methodist movement, and then consider his efforts and impact in terms of economics & the poor, education, prison reform, slavery, and more! ***Please RSVP to Alan Hanson at info@faithwestwood.com

  • Four or more for Faithworks pantry

Introducing Four (or More!) for FaithWorks Pantry!

    How it Works

    • Keep This List: The pantry has put together a list of the 48 items they use the most throughout the year.
    • Shop: When you shop for your groceries each month, add an item or two from this list -- with the goal of a minimum of four items per month.
    • Donate: Bring your donation to the canvas collection bin in the church foyer on Sunday mornings or drop them off by the FW offices during the week.

If everyone at FaithWestwood participates in Four (or More!), we can significantly reduce our pantry's expenses and continue our commitment to serve the patrons twice a month.

Thank you for your continued support of FaithWorks Pantry.
