Student Ministry @ FaithWestwood

At FaithWestwood, our students are treasured, involved, encouraged, and loved. We challenge our students to discover their role among Jesus's people. And we love seeing them invest their unique talents in the whole church body.

Whether they're worshiping together at MIDWEEK, serving our community, diving deep into God's word, or just having fun, our student ministry is a place where there's room for every story in our walk with Jesus.

  • [MIDWEEK]

During the school year, FaithWestwood Student Ministry meets weekly on Wednesday nights for MIDWEEK, a time for worship, fellowship, connection, and fun. Each week, students take part in both large and small group experiences as well as periodic opportunities to serve their church and community or just kick back and have fun too.

  • Confirmation

For most, FaithWestwood offers Confirmation classes for students starting in their eighth grade year. Our Confirmation program offers bible-based discussion with an emphasis on building community, filling in the blanks in a child's journey with Christian education, and answering the question, "Who is God in my life?"  Students participate in Confirmation with a parent, and at the end of the classes, it is each student's choice whether to declare their discipleship to Jesus and make their partnership promise at FaithWestwood.

If you find us after your eighth grade year, be sure to contact Leah Dinoso to discuss possibilities.

  • Opportunities to Serve

Whether in Omaha, across the country, or across the globe, our students have the opportunity to serve others in many different ways.

Throughout the year, Student Ministry participates in many of our church-wide activities by filling in wherever needed to serve our other ministies and our congregation. For example, whenever there is a fifth Sunday in a month, our students fill in as ushers and greeters. Students are also active in VBS, in our annual Christmas pageant, and in other events too.

And in the summer, our Student Ministry heads out on service-oriented trips that take them to places locally, nationally, and sometimes even farther away to lend their hands and hearts to service.

  • For fun & faith

And in the spirit of just being a kid in God's world, Student Ministry also plans periodic events that are just about fellowship and fun, building relationships, and making life-long memories too. Local retreats, lock-ins, trips to fun venues, parties, and other get-togethers are part of that goal every year.
