My Role at Faith Westwood

I am here to support our members and staff by managing our financial resources, our building and grounds, and overseeing our Love & Learn Child Development Center. This includes being the staff representative to the Finance Committee, Trustee Committee, Safety Committee, and Love and Learn Management Board. As a volunteer I also serve on our Church Council, small groups leadership team, and guest connections leadership team as well as being involved in two small groups.

My Background in Faith

I grew up attending a United Church of Christ church in Denver, and like many people fell away during my college years. A few years after our children were born, I started attending our neighborhood United Methodist Church in Seattle, and my first involvement was playing on the church softball team. When we moved to Omaha in 1991, I was grateful to quickly find FaithWestwood. Shortly thereafter Dr. Randy Sailors, our pastor at that time, challenged me to become involved in church leadership and I have been serving ever since.

Why I Love Our Church

FaithWestwood has always been blessed with a warm and welcoming culture that I felt from my first visit. We have also been fortunate to have strong leadership, plus so many involved and committed members who serve in our various missions and ministry fields by being the hands and feet of Jesus every day.

A Bit About Me

My wife Patty and I have been married for over 40 years and have two daughters and two grandchildren who live on the east coast. We stay active with our three dogs and by traveling to see our children and grandchildren. I retired from my business career in July of 2023, and am grateful to now be serving at FaithWestwood.
