Meet Our Staff
I grew up on a farm near Ashland, Nebrska. And sometimes people ask me why I became a pastor instead of a farmer like my dad. My ready answer is, "I didn't have enough faith to be a farmer!"
But the real story is that while I was a sophomore at Nebraska Wesleyan, I realized I already was a pastor. I just had to become one.
One thing I love about FaithWestwood is that the people here love to laugh. I also love that we are serious about following Jesus. It's great to be in a place where we take God more seriously than we take ourselves!
My wife Tricia and I have two grown children. We look forward to date night on Fridays, biking around Lake Zorinsky on a Sunday afternoon and hanging out with friends old and new.

I was blessed to be born into a faithful family that set a wonderful example of a Christian life through service, study, prayer and faith. I grew up at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lincoln and was looked after and encouraged by so many people within our congregation, living examples of a faithful life through all the ups and downs.
My husband Brad and I graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University and then moved to Omaha. We have two school-age boys Colton and Bennett who keep us busy with a sport for every season. I love travel, interior design, and spending time in the kitchen, preferably not cleaning up!
I joined Faith Westwood in 2002, and have served in many volunteer roles at the church from missions, to children, to trustees. I started on staff as the Missions Director in 2015 and transitioned to the Director of Business Administration in January of 2017. I am here to help with the operations side of the church. My hope is to take care of the business tasks, so the Ministry Directors can focus on their talents in Ministry. I love to see our building busy with activity, meeting the needs of our congregation and community.

I have been on staff since 2007. My passion is helping people discover where and how God is calling them to use their gifts to serve others. I'm continually inspired by the caring, servant hearts of the people in this church! I also enjoy gardening and spending time volunteering with my therapy dogs.
I grew up in Millard, the best decision my parents made was finding a good church for us to grow up in our faith. When my parents divorced my church was the extended family that I could depend on. While on a youth missions trip I received a call to vocational ministry.
My husband Darren and I married in 1998. We have three beautiful children Eleora, Jonah, and Micah. I love being outdoors especially on or near the water. I am humbled to have the opportunity to serve here at FaithWestwood since 2006, where the mission is making disciples of Jesus Christ. Our vision is my personal vision to become a deep, daring, and daily disciple. Every day I think about how we can create environments that extend our values of being relational, practical, generational, missional, and invitational. Discipleship and families are interconnected and both used by God to bring faith, hope, and love to the world.

FaithWestwood is such a welcoming place; I could tell immediately that the Holy Spirit is awake, alive and working through the people of this congregation. It’s really exciting to be a part of that now and to get to walk alongside the children and families here in their walk with Christ. My husband Brian and I currently live in Cedar Bluffs and have 3 children; Sydney, Jake and Jaymison, a son-in-law, Nathan, and one amazingly adorable grandson, Kuper. In our free time we enjoy camping and boating as a family.

I am so honored and grateful to be at Faith Westwood, serving along side our middle school and high school students. From an early age, I have felt a tug to work with students, and have continued to do so throughout various chapters in life. It is my heart and passion to empower our students to live lives of faith, hope and love, both now and in years to come.
My immediate family consists of my four-legged child, Remi, a golden retriever. Rem loves to love, along with a few tummy rubs here and there.

Since 2009, I have had the honor of leading worship here at FaithWestwood. It is a privilege to bring opportunities of participatory worship through the creative arts. We are truly blessed with gifted artists, vocalists, actors and instrumentalists whose desire is to bring glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. The best sound in the world, is to hear the many voices of many longing hearts singing to the Savior of the world.

Beyond serving as Pastor Steve's assistant, I love being a part of worship at FaithWestwood and seeing how God is at work here. I have been married to Bruce and have been blessed with four wonderful children and two crazy dogs. My newest favorite hobby is ballroom dancing.

What an incredible privilege it is to be part of the FaithWestwood family. My hope is to create an environment that creates a deep welcome for all who enter the church's doors.
Originally, I am from Minnesota. However, I have had the experiences of living in Idaho, Oregon, and Florida. My husband, Chris (originally from England), and I have a blended family of 5 grown and 2 school age children. Our family's activities include curling, taekwondo, and watching movies!
I look forward to getting to know you. Please stop by and say "hello," either on Sunday or in my office, whenever you are here.

I have served at FaithWestwood since 2006 as the Director of the Child Development Center. My background is in Theology and serving children. My husband David and I have two children, Ian and Julia. I have enjoyed enabling others to provide quality care for young children and impact their lives for Christ. FaithWestwood has provided the opportunity for many young children and their families to have a strong foundation in their relationship with God.

As a junior in college I remember asking myself “What part of my life makes me feel most like me?” I was torn between many career choices, but in my heart I knew that I was most myself when sharing Jesus with others. God has given me a passion to see men and women come to know Jesus, and grow deeply in their faith. I have ministered at Creighton University since 2015 with The Navigators, discipling students to become lifelong laborers for Christ.
While ministering to middle school students as the Director of Impact I have discovered that these students are asking the same question, “Who am I?”. I strive every day to be a light to students who may never set foot in a church on Sunday, loving them while showing them through my life that Jesus changes everything.
In April I will be marrying Derreck Martinez. Our hobbies include Mario Kart, Netflix, cooking, and spending time with our cat, Helios.
